The first step is to open internet explorer. You’ll find the IE icon on your desktop. You can also find it by clicking the Start > Programs > and internet explorer.
Once you open Internet Explorer, find the tab “Tools” on the top left corner of the screen. Once you click the Tools option, you’ll get a drop-down. On the drop-down menu, you’ll find Internet Options at the end of the drop-down list. Click on it.
Once you’re inside the Internet Options dialog box, you’ll find the “Content” tab on the top of the screen of the dialog box. Click on it and you’ll lot of different internet options on it. Look for “Content Advisor” and click the “Setting” option under it.
Note: If the setting box is not active. Click on the “Enable” button to activate it.
Sometimes you might receive a “Supervisor Password Required” prompt if the computer is handled by somebody else or if you have put an administrator password. If you receive the password dialog box. Enter the password and click Ok.
Once you click the “Setting” option on the “Content advisor” box. A new dialog box will open up. At the top of the dialog box, you’ll find a tab called “Approved Site”.
Click on the approved site tab. Under it, you find a space to add a website URL. Type in the website you want to block and click “Never” to block the website.
Then click “Apply” and “Ok” at the bottom of the dialog box. You have successfully blocked the site on Internet Explorer 11.
Additional Tips: If you want to add a password to the website block setting. Just next to the “Approved Sites” tab you’ll find “General Tab”. Click on it. And you’ll find an option to set the password.
